School Meals

Meals are provided by Chartwells and are served daily in our school hall. Free meals are provided for all pupils from Reception to Year 2 under the Universal Free School Meal scheme. For pupils in Year 3 - Year 6 the cost of a school meal is £2.34 per day, if your child has a meal for four days in a week they get their Friday meal free. Alongside the main meal a vegetarian meal, tomato pasta or jacket potato with a choice of toppings is always offered. Pupils are asked to make their meal choice during registration.

Free meals are available to children whose parents are in receipt of: Income Support, Income Based Job Seekers Allowance (not Contribution Based), Income Related Employment and Support Allowance (not Contribution Based), Child Tax Credit (CTC), with an annual income, as shown on your award letter of no more than £16,190, (figures correct as at September 2016), Guarantee element of State Pension Credit or support under part V1 of Immigration and Asylum Act 1999 (IAA). Please note - if you receive Working Tax Credit, however, you will not qualify, even if your annual income is below £16,190.

If you think your child may be entitled to free school meals please contact the office for an application form.

Alternatively pupils may bring a packed lunch which can also be eaten in the school hall.
