Truro Museum


On the 15th class 4 attended an Egyptian workshop at the Royal Cornwall Museum in Truro. They learnt about the afterlife and the tomb of Iset-tayef-nakht. They also took part in a role play activity of the ceremony of the feather of true and became archaeologists, discovering some ancient relics.


On the 15th  November Class 4 went to the marvelous Pizza Express in Truro and attended a pizza making workshop. They learnt about the ingredients and made their own cheese and tomato pizzas. They were delicious-

Egyptian Death Masks.

As part of our Egyptian topic we made paper mache death masks and decorated them in the style of Tutankhamun in our DT lessons. Here is a photo of our finished masks.

Book Festival

Class 4 recently attended the North Cornwall literary Festivial at St Endellion, where the were lucky enough to meet some authors and attend workshops on writiing their own  stories.

Gunwen Chapel

Class 4 recently visited Gunwen Chapel to learn about the Cornish tradition of the Crying of the Neck Ceremony at Harvest Time.

They all took part and performed the ceremoney in both English and Cornish. This was followed by some Cornish music and saffron and yeast buns!

Using fallen autumn leaves,they created some cute hedgehogs and also planted some cress seeds.

Class 4 have currently having Judo as their PE in the afternoons. They all enjoy this and strive to receive the special belt given out at the end of each of each lesson.
