Our Visit to Truro Cathedral
Class 6 went to visit Truro Cathedral to learn about 'The Foundation of the Diocese of Truro and importance of the Cathedral for many people'. The children thoroughly enjoyed the day, where they were able to dress up as different people such as the Arch Bishop Benson, John Wesley and John Loughborough Pearson as well as those who had an important role in the church, where they learnt about what they did. The children were able to touch artifacts such as the Bishop's crosier, which had been touched by every Bishop of Truro since the Arch Bishop Benson. They also enjoyed seeing the 'head in the box', which was the death mask of Bishop Benson, which allowed artists to make accurate portraits of him.
